Spherically Symmetric Space-Times in Generalized Hybrid Metric-Palatini Gravity

چکیده
We discuss vacuum static, spherically symmetric asymptotically flat solutions of the generalized hybrid metric-Palatini theory gravity (generalized HMPG) suggested by Böhmer and Tamanini, involving both a metric $$g_{\mu\nu}$$ an independent connection $$\hat{\Gamma}_{\mu\nu}^{\alpha}$$ ; gravitational field Lagrangian is arbitrary function $$f(R,P)$$ two Ricci scalars, $$R$$ obtained from $$P$$ $${\hat{\Gamma}}_{\mu\nu}^{\alpha}$$ . The admits scalar-tensor representation with scalars $$\phi$$ $$\xi$$ potential $$V(\phi,\xi)$$ whose form depends on Solutions are in Einstein frame transferred back to original Jordan for proper interpretation. In completely studied case $$V\equiv 0$$ , generic contain naked singularities or describe traversable wormholes, only some special cases represent black holes extremal horizons. For $$V(\phi,\xi)\neq examples analytical shown possess singularities. Even where Einstein-frame $$g^{E}_{\mu\nu}$$ found analytically, scalar equations need numerical study, if contains horizon, it turns singularity due corresponding conformal factor.

Hybrid Metric-Palatini Gravity
Recently, the phenomenology of f(R) gravity has been scrutinized. This scrutiny has been motivated by the possibility to account for the self-accelerated cosmic expansion without invoking dark energy sources. Besides, this kind of modified gravity is capable of addressing the dynamics of several self-gravitating systems alternatively to the presence of dark matter. It has been established that ...
متن کاملSpace-Times with Spherically Symmetric Hypersurfaces
When discussing spherically symmetric gravitational fields one usually assumes that the whole space-time is invariant under the 0 (3 ) group of transformations. In this paper, the Einstein field equations are investigated under the weaker assumption that only the 3-spaces t = const are 0 (3 ) symmetric. The following further assumptions are made: (1) The t lines are orthogonal to the spaces t =...

متن کاملSpherically Symmetric Solutions in a New Braneworld Massive Gravity Theory
In this paper, a combination of the braneworld scenario and covariant de Rham-Gabadadze-Tolley (dRGT) massive Gravity theory is proposed. In this setup, the five-dimensional bulk graviton is considered to be massive. The five dimensional nonlinear ghost-free massive gravity theory affects the 3-brane dynamics and the gravitational potential on the brane. Following the solutions with spherical s...
متن کاملNatural flat observer fields in spherically-symmetric space-times
An observer field in a space-time is a time-like unit vector field. It is natural if the integral curves (field lines) are geodesic and the perpendicular 3–plane field is integrable (giving normal space slices). It then follows that the field determines a coherent notion of time: a time coordinate that is constant on the perpendicular space slices and whose difference between two space slices i...
